Alli Works Desktop
Use Alli Works agents, skills, and document libraries straight from your desktop.
Works the same way whether deployed on-premises or connected to the cloud.
Agents, skills, and document libraries you built on the web work seamlessly on the desktop. No learning curve.
Works in air-gapped environments and in cloud-connected Alli Works — the same experience either way.
Network access is automatically blocked while code runs. The restriction is enforced by the OS — not the app — so even a code-level bypass attempt cannot circumvent it.
Core Features
Assign a folder and the agent reads, analyzes, and produces results from your files
Save repetitive tasks as skills and trigger them with a single line next time
Build custom AI agents without coding and deploy them across your organization
Set a time and the agent runs automatically — no manual trigger needed
Use Cases
A single request can naturally span multiple capabilities.
Results are delivered in a form you can use right away.
Enterprise Governance
Control who can access which agents, skills, and MCPs on a per-member basis
Administrators can review the full execution history of every agent run
Monitor request counts and credit consumption per member from a central dashboard
Sign in with your Alli account — no separate registration required

Security Architecture
When an agent runs code, two security layers work simultaneously.
Application Layer — Before code runs, dangerous command combinations and external content are filtered out
OS Sandbox — While code runs, the kernel isolates files, network access, and credentials
Windows Native — Installs as a single .exe. No WSL2 required, making it fully compatible with financial and public-sector IT policies
"Works Agent (Desktop) applies a two-layer security architecture where the OS kernel directly enforces network and file access restrictions while AI-generated code is running."
"Works Agent (Desktop) runs natively on Windows as a .exe — no WSL2 required. This makes it viable for financial institutions and government agencies where WSL2 installation is restricted by IT policy."
Designed with these enterprise security requirements in mind. Applicable scope and current certification status are confirmed during your onboarding consultation.
30 seconds → the quick summary. Security review and evaluation → the full document. Detailed security response sheets are available through your sales representative.
Works Agent (Desktop) responses are powered by the Alli RAG engine.
It reads complex documents with mixed charts and images — page by page, nothing skipped.

FAQ
Works Agent (Desktop) is the desktop client for Alli Works. It lets you use the same agents, skills, and document libraries you built on the web while accessing files and folders directly on your PC. Choose it when you want to process company data entirely on your machine without uploading it to the cloud.
While AI-generated code is executing, the network connection is automatically severed. This physically blocks any path for code to send data externally. However, an internet connection is still required for the AI to generate responses and search documents.
File operations are confined to the folder you assign. System files and other directories remain inaccessible.
In an on-premises deployment, all processing stays within your corporate network. In a cloud-connected deployment, processing occurs on Alli servers.
All three offer similar OS-level file isolation and network blocking. Works Agent (Desktop) stands apart in three ways.
First, it automatically separates the network during package installation and code execution (2-phase). With Codex CLI and Claude Code, users must configure this themselves.
Second, it runs natively on Windows as a single .exe — no WSL2 required. Claude Code cannot be used in financial IT environments where WSL2 installation is restricted.
Third, it shares agents and skills built by your organization. Codex CLI and Claude Code are personal tools with no org-wide asset sharing.
Sales, planning, finance, and legal professionals who regularly work with Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint files — and want to process them without uploading data externally.
IT administrators who need to give teams autonomy while maintaining centralized control over AI usage across the organization.
Organizations in finance, government, and healthcare where external data transfer is restricted are our fastest-growing segment.

Yes. Apple Silicon (M1 or later), Intel Mac, and Windows are all fully supported. On Windows, it runs as a single .exe file — no WSL2 installation needed.
